Together, they say what we have always wanted this salon to be — a place where skilled work and genuine care can exist in the same room.
what we do
We’re known for precision cutting, dimensional color, curly hair specialty work, bespoke razor haircuts, and thoughtful hair transformations — but what we’re really known for is the consultation.
​
We ask questions. We talk through your goals, your hair history, your maintenance comfort zone, your budget, and your actual day-to-day life. Because great hair is not just about what looks good when you leave the salon. It has to make sense when you are home, getting ready, living your life, and trying not to fight with your blow dryer before coffee.

Every visit is booked as a session: a dedicated block of time with one of our artists, built around your hair, your goals, and the work needed to get there.

Instead of pricing every foil, gloss, or technique separately, we book by time, artist level, and service goals so your appointment feels clear from the start. No weird surprises at checkout. No unnecessary upcharge maze. Just thoughtful work, honest guidance, and a plan that makes sense.

Sustainability Is Built Into the Way We Work

Sustainability is not a seasonal campaign here. It is part of the daily routine.
​
Craft House is a Green Circle Salon, which means we recover and recycle many of the materials that would otherwise end up in a landfill — including hair clippings, used foils, excess color, and PPE.
We use Salon Scale to mix color more mindfully and reduce product waste. EcoHeads at the shampoo bowls help reduce water consumption. We reach for reusable gloves over single-use whenever we can. Even our paper goods — yes, including the toilet paper — are treeless or recycled.
Our product partners are chosen with the same care.
Davines is a B Corp–certified brand from Parma, Italy, known for professional performance and a serious commitment to sustainability. Cult & King is a 1% for the Planet brand built around low-waste, wash-and-wear haircare.
We use them because they work beautifully — and because what we put on your hair should align with how we care for the world around us.

Craft House is a proud partner of The Dresscode Project and Strands for Trans, two organizations working to make salons more welcoming for queer and trans clients.
Gender-neutral pricing is not a marketing line for us. It shapes how we price, how we consult, how we talk about hair, and how we train our team.

Our services are based on time, artist experience, and the work being done — not gender. Hair is hair. People are people. Everyone deserves to feel respected in the chair.
a salon that doubles as a gallery
We share our walls.
Craft House also functions as a not-for-profit gallery space, rotating work from local artists every few months. You may find paintings, mixed media, sculpture, surface design, or something we did not know we needed until it showed up and made the room better.
Our openings are free, public, and a little bit of a party. If you have ever walked past on a Saturday night and seen the door propped open, that was probably us.
We host community events the same way — makers’ markets, charitable partnerships, vendor nights, and gatherings that bring people together. Connection is part of the work here.
education is everything
We believe the difference between a good salon and a great one is knowledge.

Every artist at Craft House completes in-house training before working independently with guests. Our senior team regularly attends advanced education, collaborates on creative projects, and continues refining their craft behind the chair.
​
The salon closes Mondays for education — every Monday, all day — because hair keeps evolving, and so should we.
​
That means your artist is not guessing, rushing, or repeating the same formula on every guest. They are trained to look closely, ask the right questions, understand the “why,” and build a plan that supports your hair beyond one appointment.

Craft House has always been part salon, part gathering place. People come in for hair, yes — but also for the art on the walls, the conversations, the familiar faces, the music, the coffee, and that little exhale when the door closes behind them.
