DIY SUMMER HAIR DETOX

All this fun in the Summer sun can be incredibly harsh on the hair.

The biggest issue we see after weeks of all this water play is chlorine buildup.

Chlorine is a bleaching agent that can causes discoloration to any hair color, both natural and color-treated.

We recommend this detox shampoo once a week during the swim season.

You will need:

Baking Soda

Clarifying Shampoo ( WE LOVE SOLU by davines)

Take one tablespoon of baking soda to a quarter size of shampoo and mix it in a small bowl.

This should make a paste-like texture. If it feels too stiff add a little more shampoo.

1st. Shampoo your hair with the clarifying shampoo alone.

2nd. After you rinse your hair apply the baking soda and shampoo mixture and emulsify through your roots and ends. Allow to sit for 5 minutes and rinse.

3rd. Apply a deep conditioner of choice. We recommend the renaissance circle by Davines.

Doing this once a week will remove any extra chlorine build-up and prevent your hair from getting a green cast to it.
